Wood Element Gallbladder - Week 9
Creating Flow, Clarity, and Direction
As we move into March, our focus shifts to a meridian that plays a surprisingly powerful role in both physical and emotional health: the Gallbladder.
In Chinese Medicine, the Gallbladder is more than a digestive organ. Energetically, it is responsible for movement, decisiveness, and clear direction. It helps the body—and the mind—know when and how to move forward.
Physically, the Gallbladder stores and releases bile, which is essential for digesting fats and eliminating toxins. Energetically, it supports the ability to process experiences, make decisions, and follow through without hesitation or second-guessing.
When Gallbladder energy is balanced, we feel clear, confident, and flexible.
When it’s imbalanced, we often feel stuck—physically tense and mentally unsure.
The Gallbladder meridian travels along the sides of the body. It begins at the outer corners of the eyes, winds around the head and neck, moves down the sides of the rib cage, passes through the hips, and continues along the outer legs.
March is an ideal time to support the Gallbladder because energy is beginning to shift outward again after winter’s inward focus. This is a season of movement and recalibration, not force. Supporting the Gallbladder now helps restore flow before stagnation has a chance to settle in.
Throughout this month, we’ll explore how to gently detox the Gallbladder, how emotions influence its energy, how physical symptoms offer clues, and how sound and frequency can support this meridian naturally.
For now, in addition to listening to your frequencies daily, try to pay attention and simply notice:
Where do you feel tension along the sides of your body?
How easily—or not—you make decisions
Whether digestion feels smooth or sluggish
Awareness is always the first step toward balance.
More to come next week.
